deco beauty club is a private nail art studio specializing in dry e-file structure gel manicures using only high quality soft gel products from brands The gel bottle, kokoist, & the aprés gel-x extension system.

at deco, you can expect to have a truly individualized experience, where each service is specifically tailored to you & your nail goals. for that reason, we are by appointment only, so that we can really dedicate time & care to each client :)

meet your artist

  • alex. she/her | nail artist & owner

    alex specializes in highly intricate handpainted nail art & aims to push the boundaries of function vs. fashion. you will often find her perfecting new techniques and finding inspiration in the everyday- whether it’s in recreating movie aesthetics, painting niche character sets, or recreating fine art pieces she finds in museums. any obscure reference or source of inspiration is her specialty.

    She is always super excited to build relationships with clients who are looking to have a very non-traditional salon experience where you can experiment and have fun (:

    alex is a first-gen colombian american from miami. she began her nail career in 2021 apprenticing under local icon Nancy Nguyen at get nailed beauty lounge in portland, maine. she opened deco beauty club in 2022 in maine, & has since relocated to charlotte, NC.

  • katie. she/her | nail artist

    Katie is an artist and licensed nail technician specializing in soft gel products. She is Kokoist certified & her services include Gel Manicures, structured gel manicures, and Apres Gel-X extensions. She is passionate about working with clients to meet their nail goals, whether its to grow out their natural nails, or to have fun bold sets every 3-4 weeks. Or both! Katie will definitely educate you on best practices for nail care, rehab your bitten nails, and make your vision come to life no matter the inspiration. Katie comes to the beauty industry with a background in fine art, specifically ceramics & is always happy to sculpt 3D elements of any kind. She loves bold colors, checkers, cat eye, and intricate designs. She recently moved to Charlotte from Portland, Maine to join Alex working at DECO beauty club.

  • we offer a range of manicure services in-studio dedicated to fit your nail goals. all of our services include a dry e-file manicure, where an e-file is used to gently remove excess cuticle from the nail bed to ensure long lasting product adhesion without lifts, chips, or breaks. here is a list of manicure services available to you:

  • Where do I even start- it’s hard to start with perfection, but we did. This was my first set with Alex and I had specific creative requests for a photo shoot. I could cry I’m so happy with the finish. But it wasn’t just that- her ability to hold conversation or none (both so important), ask all the right questions, and just intuitively knew what the assignment was. Professionalism, cleanliness, attention to detail, table side manner, vibe, color matching, nail art- all a+++

FAQs

  • Your appointment is very important to our team. Time is set aside just for you to relax and enjoy. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary and we request at least 24 hours notice before cancellation, otherwise a cancellation fee of 100% will be automatically charged to the card on file for the reserved service amount.

    Any clients who no call/no show on their first appointment will no longer be allowed to book a service with us.

  • We understand that things happen & for that reason we allow a 10 minute grace period for all appointments. After 10 minutes if you didn’t already alert us that you are stuck in traffic or just running a bit behind, we will give you a call to check in.

    If you will be more than 10-15 minutes late, it is up to our discretion to either forgo parts of the service, or if the service cannot be performed without upsetting the flow of our day, the 100% cancellation fee will be applied.

    Please always let us know if you are going to be late. Unlike a traditional salon, your appointment times are reserved for you & only you. Proper notice also allows us the opportunity to alert standby/waitlist clients of openings.

  • Deco is not your traditional nail salon. When you leave our studio, your nails won’t smudge, peel, chip, or lift for generally 3-6 weeks, & will last until your next appointment. There are exceptions for oily nail beds or nail biters, but we will always do our best to find solutions that work for you & your nails.

    Regular polish does not allow for the same longevity, & often times takes 24-48 hours to fully cure. It’s gel, or bust, baby.

  • at deco we care deeply about the health & integrity of our clients nails. every single appt begins with an assessment of nail health & product retention, and if necessary, we may recommend specific products, services, or advice for aftercare in order to ensure beautiful, healthy, long lasting works of art.

    we take sanitation and nail health very seriously. we never use methyl methacrylate, or mma. this substance is illegal in the nail industry & very quickly degrades the health of your nails. if you need to book an acrylic soak off from another salon, we might discover that they have used mma on your nails. for that reason, we do not work over other salons work.

    all implements are sanitized, disinfected, & sterilized after every use, and we never reuse buffers or files. deco is a place for you to relax, unwind, enjoy the personalized experience of a private nail studio, & trust that we will get you looking & feeling fly by the time you leave (;
